Its true, cats will sit anywhere. Couple that with the divinity complex most cats possess and the perfect feline photo moment arises. Photographer Brooke Goldman was around at just the right time to catch such a sight.
It was an early morning in December of 2017 when Brooke walked her boyfriend to catch his early train. Getting back to bed was her main focus on the walk back, but being a photographer, she’s always noticing the minute details around her. “I always pay attention to detail, almost annoyingly so,” she wrote in a post for Love What Matters.
But, her habit provided her a hilarious photo moment.
In a neighbors’ yard, Brooke had a look at the nativity scene and noticed the Baby Jesus looking a little furry and grumpy.

Settled nicely in the manager was a rather larger grey and orange cat. Mary and Joseph gazed lovingly upon the sourpuss who had no problem nestling in atop the scene’s Baby Jesus. Of course, Brooke had to capture the sight.
“I was laughing pretty loudly the whole time, and just appreciating the entire moment.”
The silly cat brightened the early morning Brooke hadn’t really wanted to be a part of. She told the Dodo, “I guess you can definitely say he brought me joy while I was walking home. It was mood-lifting, most definitely.”
“Laughing that hard that early in the morning makes the rest of the day much more positive.”

“The best part was his grumpiness—he was staring at me intently the whole time while photographing him, and I was a little nervous!”
Rightly so, this cat looks as though a long winter’s nap had just been disturbed. But, obviously the cat wasn’t too bothered. As cat lovers know, cats will take off no problem when the camera is whipped out, but this grumpy thing hung out. Which means the chubby kitty probably appreciates a photo session.
