In the fall of 2011 Cara Imperato adopted two eight-month-old kitten sisters and named them Chloe and Callie. The two were inseparable from the start – Callie the fearless leader and Chloe her devoted follower.
Even their coloring indicated their opposing personalities. Callie was mostly white with tabby markings and Chloe has a distinct tabby coat marbled with white.
Sadly, Callie passed away suddenly last year. In the time the two sweet sisters had together they mirrored each other’s style almost exactly. Much like their names and markings, they were a perfectly matched pair.
From tandem napping sessions…
To synchronized bird watching…
Even their casual relaxation poses were the same…
Imperato has turned the grief from her tragic loss into a positive new business. She started the art blog, Kitty Curator in Callie’s honor and shares lovely jewelry, home goods and creative holiday art projects with her readers.
