Some people think of cats as antisocial creatures who want nothing to do with strolling about town as a dog might. I think we all know better.
But Eli the cat is definitely proving them wrong.

A handsome, young kitty, Eli is “a little ginger boy living his best life” according to his Instagram bio. A tabby on the go, his page shows him living the good life, out and about around Liverpool, UK. In a recent feature on Metro UK, Eli and his mom, Molly, told the world about his favorite pub in Liverpool, the Brewdog.

When he saunters in with Molly at his heels, the staff greets him with his favorite beverage—lactose-free milk in a tall glass. Other pub visitors are happy to see a cat in the bar because it’s a sight not usually seen.
Molly said, “Everyone always gets so excited when they see a cat on the end of a lead.”

“Most people see the lead and assume it’s a dog. It’s great to watch their faces when they realize it’s a cat.”
And the Brewdog isn’t Eli’s only haunt though.
Eli Goes Everywhere a Cat Can
Eli loves to hang out with his mom, Molly. Together since Eli was eight-weeks old, the pair goes anywhere cats are allowed with Eli on his lead.

Molly knows Eli loves the attention he gets on their outings, “I think he’s the most sociable cat ever.”

But, Eli has remained the same loving tabby he was before he knew fame. Molly claims, “He hasn’t let the attention go to his head though.”
A Well-Matched Pair
A veterinary student, Molly makes an ideal mom for a cat with a desire for adventure. Her schooling teaches her the best ways to socialize Eli, as well as keep him healthy. In a busy city, she knew indoor life was the safest choice for the ginger tabby. But Molly wanted Eli to have contact with the outdoors, as well as get regular exercise.

Beginning in the countryside at a young age, she trained him to walk with a harness and lead. He quickly took to the outings, enjoying their time in the fresh air.
“Whenever I get his lead, he gets excited, almost like a dog, and runs to the front door.”

Molly said of her sweet boy, “Eli’s so used to going out, he loves it.”
