Corncob Says Thanks For The Goods

To date, the GOODS Program has delivered over 578 million meals to shelters and rescues nationwide. That’s more than 6,000 truckloads delivered to hungry animals!

Corncob became one of the many kitties helped by GOODS when he arrived at Gateway Pet Guardians from a home with a “very overwhelmed caregiver” trying to do their best for cats who needed shelter and food.

“The caregiver had over 35 under-socialized cats and called us for help,” Gateway Pet Guardians explained.

With so many felines in need, getting overwhelmed can be an easy situation to fall into, but when things got out of control, Gateway stepped in to help. The rescue took Corncob and six other felines from the caregiver, and after some time snacking on tasty eats and getting love from volunteers, these lucky seven are up for adoption and hunting for their forever homes.

“Corncob is now enjoying a clean environment, clean water, and healthy food and getting 1-1 attention from the staff and volunteers. There is no doubt that he will be adopted quickly!”

The food donations from the GOODS Program help shelters like Gateway give more kitties like Corncob the happy ever after they so deserve.
