What is it about a man in uniform–especially one who loves tiny animals?! If you liked the story about the Florida police officer who returned from a call with a new puppy, you’re going to love this!
NYPD 69th Precinct Police Officer Reiff was one of the cops who answered a “cat” call. Concerned citizens had heard a desperate meowing coming from somewhere inside a car, and enlisted the help of the police.
When the officers arrived on the scene and inspected the vehicle, they discovered he was stuck inside the engine! Officer Reiff used a jack to raise the car, shimmied underneath, and carefully freed the stray kitty.
He cradled the tiny kitten to comfort him, and aside from having some dirt and grease in his fur, this fortunate baby was unharmed!
The officer’s new furry friend was taken to the station where they gave him a bath and some snuggles after his exciting day.
Love Meow reports that one of the officers at the station decided that he wanted to give the kitten a forever home–and adopted him right that and there. Not only was he saved, but he was no longer a stray! It looks like this is one lucky little black cat.
Thanks to these heroes in blue, who save more than just human lives!
