At first glance, a black cat named Lucifer may not seem like a loving companion. Fortunately, first impressions can be deceiving. Lucifer is indeed a black cat (and a beautiful one at that), but he’s a very special feline with a very important job. He’s a rescue cat himself that found a forever home at an animal hospital in Perm, Russia.
Lucifer spends his days comforting sick and injured animal patients at the hospital. He understands what it’s like to be hurt and discouraged. Lucifer is paralyzed in his hind legs. Nobody knows what happened for sure because he was found that way, but the clinic thinks he was smashed in a door as a baby. This caused damage to his spine and left him unable to move his rear legs.
But that doesn’t stop Lucifer from getting around. In fact, he takes his job very seriously. He cuddles with patients to keep them warm and comfortable and he’s donated blood to save the lives of other cats in need. It’s a special kind of magic when a disabled cat finds such a large forever family and an important job. Lucifer is certainly a cat even humans can look up to.
