Yep, you read that title right. Didga, short for Didgeridoo, is a Guinness World Record holder. She also happens to be a beloved housecat rescued from a shelter in New South Wales, Australia. Together with owner Robert Dollwet, she has a serious set of tricks that earned her this prestigious title. Didga now holds the record for completing 20 tricks within one minute, something that puts most people to shame. Her tricks vary from jumping over a bar while riding a skateboard to a simple rollover.
When Guinness interviewed Dollwet, he told them, “I knew she was special but now, with the record, I think that she’s just unbelievably special and I’m just so proud of her. And I love cats. I love her, so much.” We really love Didga too and can’t wait to see what else she has in store!
Didga and her owner are proof that even a homeless rescue cat can turn into a world record holder with a little love and care. Just because these kitties were discarded or grew up as strays doesn’t mean they don’t have anything to offer the rest of the world. Didga is an inspiration for cats and humans alike!
