Not sure whether your cats are friends or foes? Here’s a way to find out. Check how they behave towards each other and watch out for these signs:

1. If they are friends, they will groom each other, rub one another and, sleep, and even cuddle.
2. If they are foes, they will timeshare the use of their things, like food, water, beds and litter boxes. Things will be blocked and one of them will just approach when the other is not around, and they will live in different areas of the house so they can avoid each other.

Even if they don’t get along, cats typically avoid fights with each other. How can we create a happy home for our cats? Well, we can give them their own things plus one spare–including extra bowls of food and water and if they live in different areas of the house to ensure that they both have the same things so they don’t invade each other’s territory or space. Provide them with plenty of places to hide and climb so they have something of their own.

We all have to remember that our cats are naturally solitary creatures. They don’t need to hang out with each other in order to be happy with their lives. There is no need to go out of your way to make it happen nor be affected by their animosity towards each other. Understanding your cats and playing with them regularly will be more than enough to make them happy and have the company they need! 🙂
