Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Rescue ‘Hardly Alive’ Kitten And Give Him A Name

| October 11, 2024

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton recently welcomed an unexpected new addition to their family—a kitten they rescued and nursed back to health after discovering him near their home. Stefani shared the heartwarming tale on social media, explaining that she and Shelton found the kitten in dire condition close to their property. The little guy was barely hanging on, described by Stefani as “hardly alive” and “extremely sick.”

Without hesitation, the couple brought the fragile kitten into their home and provided him with the love and care he so desperately needed. In a video shared by Stefani, you can see the pair gently wrapping the kitten in a blanket, doing everything they could to help him recover.

As time passed, the kitten’s condition improved. His strength returned, and he began walking around, full of energy. “He’s become a healthy kitten,” Stefani wrote, sharing her joy at his recovery. In the same video, Shelton is heard encouraging the kitten, saying, “You’re doing incredible. Gettin’ fat.”

The couple officially adopted the little survivor, giving him the name “Corn Shelton.” Stefani expressed her gratitude, saying, “We’re so thankful he’s now part of our family.”

Fans were deeply moved by the story, with many commenting on how perfectly things had worked out. One person wrote, “Welcome to your new life, Corn. You sure picked the best family!” Another humorously added, “The cat distribution system always knows where to send them.”

Sadly, this seems to have been a disturbing pattern that must be addressed. To protect future animals and provide him with the support he needs, he must be banned from ever owning animals again and undergo mandatory counseling.

Corn has already made his debut in the spotlight, appearing in the season premiere of The Voice, where Stefani serves as a coach. Now part of a household that includes two dogs, Betty and Ginger, and another cat, Corn is enjoying his new life on Stefani and Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. A big thanks to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton for rescuing and giving this kitten a forever home. Corn certainly landed in the right place! Check out the video below to experience Corn’s rescue and transformation.
