Gretchen Ellenberg‘s boyfriend was helping a friend remove a sign from a warehouse when he heard a tiny “meow”. After a bit of exploring, he found the source: a teeny-tiny kitten inside a cardboard box.

Gretchen, who does more than her fair share of rescuing and fostering cats and kittens, welcomed the kitten into her home and named her Baby Kitten because of how tiny she was. At her first veterinary appointment, they found out Baby Kitty was only 7 days old!
They committed themselves to bottle feeding her every few hours.
As Baby Kitty became comfortable in her new home she became feisty and playful.
Baby Kitty became best friends with her new sister.
She loves her mama and papa.
She gets along great with all of her foster brothers and sisters. In fact, Gretchen says “she is the ambassador of our home.”
Baby Kitty certainly lucked out when she was found and taken in by this amazing family! It’s clear that she’ll have a happy life filled with plenty of love and cuddles in her home of humans and other kitties.
Oh, and isn’t the red streak on her head just precious?!
